Sabda, Sparsa, Roopa, Rasa, Gandhaah Prithivee
gunaah || 15 ||
The senses of Sound, Touch, Form, Taste and Smell are the inherent qualities of the Earth-element.
Mantra : 16.
Sabda, Sparsa, Roopa, Rasaah cha Apaam gunaah ||16 ||
The senses of Sound, Touch, Form and Taste are the qualities of the Water-element.
Mantra : 17.
Sabda, Sparsa, Roopaani Agni gunaah || 17 ||
The senses of Sound, Touch and Form are the qualities of the Fire-element.
Mantra : 18.
Sabda-Sparsau iti Vaayu gunaah || 18 ||
The senses of both Sound and Touch are the qualities of the Air(Wind)-element.
Mantra : 19.
Sabdah ekah Aakaasasya || 19 ||
The sense of Sound only is the quality of the Space-element.

For “aakaasha”, and “ap” sixth vibhakti is rightly used. Why is 6th case (declension) not used for the other 3 elements? For agni, and vaayu it can probably be said that it is a samaasa? But then, at least for prithvi it is not clear why 1st vibhakti (nominative) is used instead of 6th.(possessive)
