Sanaatana Saaradaa~24 – Dynamics of Divine Exploits~2.

With what all we saw in the earlier part of this feature, let us try to have a sane and sober insight, in brief, into the profound perception of the Gopikaas regarding the identity of Sri Krishna who was just above seven years of age when “Raasa Leelaa Utsavam” took place. In their “Gopi or Gopikaa Geetam” they sing their unmitigated and comprehesive grasp of the Lord of their hearts. The great verse in this context is hereunder:-

“Na khalu gopikaa nandano bhavaan

Akhila dehinaam Antaraatma Drik |

Vikhanasaa>rthito visvaguptaye

Sakha Udeyivaan saatvataam kulay” ||

(Bhaagavatam – Skandham – X, Chapter-31, verse:4.)

“O! Lord of our hearts! (we clearly know that) You are not just a son of Yasoda. You are all-witnessing inmost Self, Who resides in all the living (or human) beings. Brahma or Vikhanasa or Hiranyagarbha(the creator of the whole universe) requested You to assume an Incarnation to protect the universe. So, You manifested Yourself in the noble family of Saatvatas (as Sri Krishna)”.

With this absolute excellence of understanding, the Gopikaas entered into the “Raasa Leelaa Utsavam”, created by Lord Sri Krishna.

In Bhaagavata itself, in Chapter-47, from verse-23 to verse-27, Uddhava, described the state of all the Gopikaas.( He visited Vrajadhaama with a message given by Sri Krishna for Gopikas.). The gist of the description of Uddhava, about all the Gopikaas is that they attained highest state which is beyond the reach of even extraordinary saints and sages, by sacrificing all their worldly bonds like children, husband, bodily identities, and so on and choosing, instead, Sri Krishna, the Supreme Godhead (“Vrineeta yooyam – – -Krishnaakhyam Purusham Param“)”.

He further declares that their story is capable of purifying all the three worlds of all impurities, when listened to, with utmost devotion. This is one among the most enchanting and haunting Exploits of Sri Krishna that can edify and ennoble the souls of the devotees when read or listened to devoutly.
