Sanaatana Saaradaa~21. Dynamics of Divine Qualities~2.

The Supreme Godhead, Lord Sri Krishna, is described to have been endowed with humanly innumerable reverberating names, myriad scintillating forms, incalculable edifying qualities and uncountable sublime exploits in all our holy scriptures. These timeless realities are proven abundantly in the actual lives of the most profound and absolutely dedicated devotees of the Lord.

We are not expected to loose the clear sight of them when they happen to take place in the lives of not only hagiographical characters such as Gajendra, Gopa-Gopikas, Saint-composer Tyaagaraaja, but also in the holy lives of our own kith and kin, friends or even in the simple, down-to-earth lives of our domestic servants. Now, in the present series we
are discussing the dynamics of the Divine Qualities. When it comes to His uncountable Qualities, especially of illimitable benignancy and such gracious features and traits, an extraordinary verse in the Bhaagavata(lll : 2 : 23) is the most precisely characteristic of all in obviously defining the point here.

“Aho Bakee yam stanakaalakootam

Jighaamsayaapaayayada-
pyasaadhvee |

Laybhay gatim dhaatryuchitaam
tato>nyam

Kam vaa Dayaalum saranam
vrajema” ||

“Pootana suckled the Lord, infant Krishna, when He is about a few days old, with the deadliest poison-applied breast of hers to kill Him. But, astonishingly, the Lord granted her a sublime position merited by a foster-mother. Is there anyone so tender-hearted, whom we should fall back to for our total welfare, other than Him?”

Here the main point is that all-loving Lord Krishna rewarded some one who wanted to kill Him, with liberation which is deserved by His own mother. His Mother received liberation  only after the passage of some time while Pootana got it immediately. So, even when certain demoniac people who hate Him utterly can attain His total Grace, then what to speak of  the Grace that is going to be received by His ever-loving devotees? This is His Supreme Quality that distinctively defines Him in order to enable His devout devotees to possess an appropriate perspective to understand Him and His Love for us all.
