THEOSONICS – Dynamics of Divine Name – Part 4
The metaphysical philosophy of the Dynamics of Divine Name is clearly demonstrated in the story of Ajaamila. In the story the Messengers of Lord Vishnu declare as under:
“Saanketyam paarihaasyam vaa
stobham helanameva vaa |
Vaikuntha naama grahanam
aseshaagha haram viduh ” ||
The experience of the sages reveals that the chanting of the name of Lord Vishnu is inherently capable of eradicating all sins , even when it is intended to signify something or someone else, or when it is uttered for fun, or as a refrain in a song or to create some humour. In Ajaamila’s case, the utterance of “Naaraayana” is Saanketyam as explained here. Such an utterance helps Ajaamila in exterminating all his sins and leaves him at a neutral point from where he can have a fresh take-off to attain the ultimate bliss. This is exactly what takes place in Ajamila’s spiritual journey.
This fully establishes the two-fold irreversible efficacy of chanting of the Divine Name.
1) The eradication of all sins and imparting neutrality from where one can endeavour to achieve the Grace of the Lord if one wishes to have it as in the illustration of Ajaamila.
2) Directly driving the devotee to make him worthy of receiving the unqualified Love and Grace of the Lord.
These are the important aspects which have to be well understood in this context.

The limitless kindness of the God (Lord Vishnu) is explained through this Ajaamila episode. What a glory of Naama japa! Simply by uttering it, all the previous sins are nullified. An easiest way to receive the grace of God.
Very good and useful explanation .
The power of Divine name when uttered knowingly or unknowingly is very well conveyed.previous sins being destroyed n a fresh take off is the ultimate point to be noted.
Along with the efficacy of divine name,can u please elaborate on the rules of chanting.especially on the subject of matras for each letter
